Collection: Airsoft AEG Air Nozzles

The purpose of an airsoft AEG air nozzle is to guide the compressed air from the cylinder head to load a BB into the hop-up chamber and barrel for firing. Its benefits include improving air seal, ensuring proper BB feeding, and increasing shooting performance and consistency, often by replacing a stock nozzle with one that features an o-ring for a tighter seal.

Purpose

Air delivery: The nozzle is a hollow tube that slips over the cylinder head and directs compressed air from the gearbox to the BB in the hop-up chamber.

BB loading: It acts as a stopper, preventing BBs from continuously feeding into the chamber. When the gearbox is cycling, the nozzle retracts to allow a BB to be loaded, then moves forward to push the BB into the hop-up and barrel.

Correct length: The length of the nozzle is critical; if too short, it can cause air leaks, and if too long, it can prevent BBs from loading at all.

Benefits of upgraded air nozzles

Improved air seal: Many aftermarket nozzles include an O-ring to seal the connection between the cylinder head and the hop-up unit more tightly, reducing air loss.

Increased shooting performance: A better seal can lead to a more efficient air compression, resulting in a significant increase in velocity (FPS).

Greater consistency: A proper air seal reduces air pressure fluctuations, leading to more consistent shots.

Durability: Upgraded nozzles can be made from more durable materials, and those with O-rings can offer enhanced sealing compared to stock parts.

Troubleshooting feeding issues: Replacing a stock or damaged nozzle is a common and cost-effective upgrade to resolve feeding problems.
