Collection: Hi-Capa/1911 Safety Levers

The safety lever on a Hi-Capa 1911 (and other 1911s) serves two main purposes: it blocks the sear, preventing the hammer from falling, and it blocks the slide from moving, which stops the gun from being able to chamber a new round or eject a spent one without disengaging the safety. This allows the pistol to be carried safely in a cocked and locked position, with a round in the chamber, without fear of it firing unintentionally from an external force or a jostle.
