Collection: Airsoft AEG Tune-Up Springs

An AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) tune-up springs in airsoft are primarily used to adjust the airsoft gun's muzzle velocity (Feet Per Second or FPS) to meet field regulations or to upgrade performance. They are also used to replace worn-out stock springs, restoring or improving the gun's original power and consistency.

Purpose

FPS Adjustment: The main purpose is to change the power of the airsoft gun's shot. Players may install a stronger spring (e.g., M120, M130) for higher FPS to achieve greater range for outdoor play, or a weaker spring (e.g., M100) to meet the lower FPS limits of indoor fields.

Replacement of Worn Parts: Over time, stock springs can lose tension and consistency, resulting in lower and less consistent FPS. A tune-up spring serves as a reliable, high-quality replacement to restore optimal performance.

Internal Stress Management: Irregular pitch springs are designed with variable tension to reduce overall stress and wear and tear on the gearbox components, such as the motor and gears, as they make it easier for the motor to cycle.

Benefits

Customized Performance: Tune-up springs allow for precise control over the gun's power output, enabling players to fine-tune their AEG for specific game scenarios and field rules.

Increased Durability and Reliability: High-quality aftermarket springs are typically made from durable materials like high-grade stainless steel or steel piano wire, which are designed to retain their tension longer than stock springs, offering greater longevity.

Improved Consistency: Quality springs provide more consistent compression and decompression cycles, leading to more uniform air pressure and, consequently, more consistent shot velocity.

Enhanced Compatibility with Upgrades: When performing other internal upgrades (such as a tighter bore barrel or a high-torque motor), a tune-up spring is often a necessary component to ensure all parts work together efficiently and effectively to achieve the desired performance boost.
