Collection: Airsoft AEG Tappet Plates

The main purpose of an airsoft AEG tappet plate is to synchronize the gearbox cycle with BB feeding by controlling the movement of the air nozzle. It acts as a link between the sector gear and the air nozzle, retracting the nozzle to allow the next BB to load and then pushing it forward to seal the hop-up chamber before the next shot. Upgraded tappet plates offer benefits like improved reliability and performance, especially in high-speed builds, as they are often made of more durable materials and can help prevent misfeeds.

Purpose

BB Feeding: The tappet plate is responsible for correctly timing the loading of each BB from the magazine into the hop-up chamber.

Nozzle Synchronization: It connects the rotational movement of the sector gear to the linear back-and-forth movement of the air nozzle.

Cycle Timing: It ensures that a BB is loaded into the hop-up chamber just before the piston is fired and the air is released to propel the BB.

Benefits

Improved Reliability: A faulty tappet plate can cause misfeeds and other timing issues; a high-quality or upgraded one ensures more consistent feeding.

Enhanced Performance: Upgraded plates are often made of more durable materials, which is especially beneficial for high-stress, high-speed builds, and can prevent failures that stock plates might experience.

Increased Accuracy: Better feeding consistency due to a properly functioning tappet plate can lead to improved accuracy.

Durability: Upgraded plates are reinforced to withstand high pressure and cycles, leading to a longer lifespan compared to standard plates.
