Collection: Burst Discs

A paintball tank burst disc is a critical, one-time-use safety device that prevents tank explosions by rupturing and releasing pressure if it exceeds a preset limit, protecting both the tank and the player from catastrophic failure due to overfilling or extreme heat.

Over-Pressurization Protection: The primary job is to burst if the tank is filled beyond its safe operating pressure (e.g., 3000 PSI or 4500 PSI) or if heat causes the gas to expand too much.

Prevents Explosions: By rupturing, it safely vents the gas, preventing the tank itself from rupturing or exploding, which is extremely dangerous.

How it Works:

When the pressure limit is hit, the disc's thin metal (often copper) ruptures.

This releases a loud bang and all the gas quickly through two small holes, preventing the tank from becoming a projectile.

It must then be replaced with a new disc of the same pressure rating.
