Collection: Hi-Capa/1911 Inner Barrels

The purpose of an airsoft inner barrel is to guide the BB from the hop-up unit to the muzzle, and its key function is to improve accuracy, range, and consistency compared to a stock barrel. Upgraded inner barrels, especially tight-bore or precision barrels, offer a smoother, more consistent path for the BB, which results in a tighter grouping of shots and increased velocity.

Key functions and benefits:

Guides the BB: The inner barrel is the actual tube the BB travels through after being propelled by the airsoft gun's mechanism.

Improves accuracy: A smooth, precisely manufactured inner barrel ensures the BB maintains a straighter trajectory, leading to tighter groupings.

Increases range: A longer inner barrel allows the gas more time to expand behind the BB, increasing its muzzle velocity and thus its range.

Enhances consistency: By providing a consistent flight path, the inner barrel reduces inconsistencies in the BB's flight, making shots more predictable.

Boosts FPS: A tighter-bore inner barrel can slightly increase the muzzle velocity (FPS) by creating a tighter seal with the BB, which improves air compression efficiency.

Upgrade considerations:

Diameter: Tighter bores (e.g., 6.01mm, 6.03mm) are often preferred for improved accuracy and FPS, but they require higher-quality BBs and more frequent cleaning to prevent jams.

Length: Choosing the right length is crucial, as it needs to be compatible with the outer barrel and hop-up unit.

Material: While many are aluminum, some high-end barrels are made of stainless steel for durability.
