Collection: Hi-Capa/1911 Hammers

The purpose of an airsoft Hi-Capa/1911 hammer is to strike the valve knocker, releasing gas to fire the BB. It is a key internal component that can be upgraded for enhanced reliability and performance by providing a smoother, stronger, and more durable mechanism than a stock part. Upgrading the hammer can improve trigger pull feel and overall cycling.

Function in operation:

Striking the valve knocker: When the trigger is pulled, the hammer is released, rotating forward to strike the valve knocker on the airsoft pistol's magazine.

Releasing gas: This impact opens the gas valve, releasing a burst of compressed gas (like green gas or CO2) that propels the BB down the barrel.

Resetting: After firing, the hammer is recocked by the slide's movement, readying it for the next shot.

Benefits of upgrading:

Improved durability: Aftermarket hammers are often made of stronger materials like CNC-machined stainless steel, which can withstand more use.

Smoother operation: Treatments like titanium nitride (TiN) reduce friction, preventing hangups and leading to a smoother slide and hammer action.

Enhanced performance: Upgraded hammers can provide a lighter, crisper trigger pull and a more consistent cycling of the action.

Customization: They are available in different colors and finishes, allowing for a personalized look.
