The Dye/Proto Ball Detent with Spring Kit is to prevent paintballs from rolling out of the breech and to stop double feeding or ball chops. It uses small, spring-loaded detents to hold a paintball in place just before it is fed into the barrel, ensuring it is held securely until the bolt is ready to fire. 

How it works

• Holds the ball: When the bolt is retracted, the detent springs forward to hold the paintball in the breech, preventing it from rolling out or being double-fed.

• Allows for firing: When the marker is fired, the bolt moves forward and pushes the detent back, allowing the ball to be pushed into the barrel and fired.

• Prevents malfunctions: By holding the ball in the correct position, the detent prevents common issues like ball chops and inconsistent shots.
