Empire 5000psi Burst Disc (2 Pack) - Nickel (GG11-10)

The Empire 5000 psi burst disc is a safety release for compressed air tanks, preventing them from exploding by rupturing and releasing excess pressure if the tank's internal pressure exceeds 5,000 psi.

• Prevents tank explosion: The primary function is to release pressure in a catastrophic failure scenario, protecting the tank from rupturing due to over-pressurization.

• Protects against overfilling: This disc is designed to rupture if the tank is filled to a pressure greater than its rated capacity. For example, it would protect a 4,500 psi tank from an accidental 6,000 psi fill.

• Works with a low-pressure disc: Many compressed air systems have two discs: the 5,000 psi (or 7,500 psi) disc for the tank side and a lower-pressure disc (like 1,800 psi) on the regulator's output side to protect the marker itself from a regulator failure.

• Activates instantly: Unlike a pressure relief valve, the burst disc is a one-time use safety device. Once the 5,000 psi threshold is reached, the disc will burst, and the gas will escape immediately.

• Requires replacement: After the disc ruptures, it must be replaced with a new one of the same pressure rating.
