The Kingman Spyder Cup Seal #ITP012 seals the paintball gun's exhaust valve, preventing air from leaking out the barrel. When the hammer strikes the valve stem, the cup seal allows air to be released for a shot, but it creates a seal when the hammer is not in use. A damaged cup seal can cause a noticeable air leak. 

• Function: The cup seal is a crucial internal component that creates a seal for the exhaust valve, stopping air from leaking down the barrel when the gun is not firing.

• Action: When the trigger is pulled, the hammer strikes the valve, and the cup seal moves out of the way, releasing a burst of air to fire the paintball.

• Maintenance: A worn or damaged cup seal is a common cause of a CO2 or HPA leak down the barrel and is often replaced to fix the issue.
