The Red O-ring on a Kingman Spyder Hammer/Striker is a vital part of the operation of the gun's recocking system and prevents blowback air pressure from being lost between the hammer and the valve. This forces the hammer to move backward, which allows the hammer to blow back, recock, reset, and be ready to be fired again.

Also fits other Spyder clone blow-back paintball guns and markers with the same diameter striker/hammer.
