Ninja Universal Compressed Air Tank Regulator Burst Disc - Black (GG05-01)

The Ninja Universal Compressed Air Tank Regulator Burst Disc is a critical safety device designed to prevent dangerous over-pressurization. It is a single-use, non-reclosing metal disc engineered to rupture at a specific pressure threshold, releasing pressure when it exceeds a specific pressure in a controlled manner.

Ninja regulators typically use two burst discs with different pressure ratings: 

• High-Pressure Burst Disc (e.g., 5K or 7.5K PSI): This disc is located on the high-pressure side of the regulator, directly exposed to the pressure inside the main air tank. Its purpose is to protect the air tank from rupturing in case it is filled far beyond its safe working pressure (e.g., in the event of an overfill or exposure to extreme heat like a fire).

• Low-Pressure Burst Disc (e.g., 1.8K PSI): This disc is located on the low-pressure side (downstream) of the regulator, after the pressure has been stepped down for use by the equipment. Its function is to protect your paintball marker or other downstream components in the event of a regulator failure, which could otherwise send the full, dangerous tank pressure into the low-pressure equipment and cause serious damage. 

In short, the burst disc acts as a fail-safe mechanism, protecting both the user and the equipment from the dangers of excessive pressure. When a burst disc blows, it indicates a safety issue that needs to be addressed, and the disc must be replaced with one of the correct pressure ratings.
