Planet Eclipse EGO/ETEK .50 Caliber Rubber Ball Detent (10 Pack) (GG11-23)

The purpose of a Planet Eclipse EGO/ETEK .50 Caliber Rubber Ball Detent is to prevent paintballs from rolling out of the barrel and to stop multiple paintballs from feeding into the breech at once. It holds a single ball securely in place until the marker is fired. 

Key functions of the detent include:

• Preventing roll-outs: For both open- and closed-bolt markers, the detent stops the paintball from rolling out the barrel when the marker is pointed downward. This is especially important for markers that lack a bore that perfectly matches the paintball size.

• Preventing double-feeds: The rubber detent acts like a small finger that holds the next paintball in the feed stack back, allowing only one paintball to move into firing position at a time.

• Preventing ball chops: By controlling the feeding process, the detent ensures the paintball is in the correct firing position before the bolt pushes forward. This helps prevent the bolt from "chopping" or breaking a paintball, which can reduce accuracy and cause a mess inside the marker.

• Accommodating smaller ammo: The .50 caliber version of the detent is designed to hold the smaller, low-impact .50 caliber paintballs in the breech. A standard detent, designed for larger .68 caliber paintballs, would be too small to prevent the smaller balls from rolling out.
