Purpose and Function
Separates Actions: It decouples the forward movement of the rammer and bolt from the opening action of the exhaust valve.
Indirect Valve Operation: Instead of a harsh, direct knock-open system, the cam shape allows the exhaust valve to open more slowly and with significantly less force.
Smoother Performance: This mechanical advantage reduces the marker's kick (recoil), softens the sound signature, and lowers operating pressure while maintaining a strong valve seal.
Cycle Reset: When the rammer cycles backward, the cam lever allows the exhaust valve to close and resets the mechanism for the next shot.
