The Planet Eclipse Protoyz Speedster ball sensor detects the presence of paintballs in the feed neck to efficiently control the loader's motorized agitation paddle.

Function and Mechanics

Ball Detection: The sensor board uses a specialized eye sensor to look for paintballs waiting to be fed into the marker's breach.

Paddle Management: When a ball is detected in the feed channel, the sensor signals the loader to pause the agitator's spinning to avoid chopping or jamming paint.

Resuming Feed: As soon as the marker fires and the feed neck clears, the sensor detects the empty space and instantly reactivates the agitator to maintain a feeding speed of over 10 balls per second.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

If your Protoyz Speedster is spinning constantly without stopping, or failing to spin when empty, the ball sensor typically needs attention:

1 Clean the Eyes: Paintball residue, dirt, or a broken ball inside the hopper can block the sensors. Wipe down the interior channel and sensor area with a damp microfiber cloth.

2 Check Alignment: If you have taken the toolless shell apart, verify that the sensor board is seated correctly. Misaligned sensors will prevent the loader from registering paintballs.

3 Replacement Part: If cleaning does not fix the issue, the sensor board may be damaged. The official replacement component is the ProToyz Speedster Loader Sensor Board.
