The Retro Arms INOX Outer Barrel Nut Locking Washers are used in airsoft builds to eliminate gaps, correct barrel nut timing, and stabilize the outer barrel and handguard. Their purpose is to provide a 0.2mm thick, corrosion-resistant (INOX) stainless steel shim that can be added between the barrel and receiver to ensure a tight, secure, and properly aligned assembly, preventing wobbling and shifting. 

Purpose

• Eliminate gaps: These washers fill the space between the upper receiver and the outer barrel, preventing any looseness.

• Correct timing: They allow for fine adjustments when a barrel nut is correctly torqued but its "timing" (like a gas tube hole alignment) is slightly off. You can back off the nut and use a washer to achieve the correct alignment without over-torquing.

• Enhance stability: By removing any play, the washers ensure the outer barrel and any attached rail systems (like RIS) remain stable and secure.
